Fariborz Rodef, DDS

Dr. Fariborz Rodef has more than 30 years of dental experience and has been in practice at CDFZ for the last 20 years. He received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from San Diego State University, followed by degrees in Dental Surgery and Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Southern California. Dr. Rodef completed his residency at Long Beach and is a member of the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the University of Southern California Pediatric Dental Alumni Association.
He chose to pursue pediatric dentistry because he loves working with kids and had a wonderful experience with his own dentist as a child. When he was seven years old, Dr. Rodef needed extensive dental care including the removal of teeth and major fillings. He had such a great experience and received such kind care from his dentist at the time, that it left a lasting impression on Dr. Rodef. Now, Dr. Rodef strives to provide that same level of attention to each of his patients, taking the time to listen to parents, address their concerns, and provide treatment direction so they feel confident that they are making informed decisions about their child’s oral health.
Dr. Rodef started the first CDFZ practice in West Covina in 2002. After working for various general dentists at the beginning of his career that did not cater to the needs of children, Dr. Rodef was inspired to create a dental practice designed just for kids! His goal was to build a practice that looked like Chuck E. Cheese and made going to the dentist fun! Dr. Rodef had several business associates that were interested in a similar concept so they partnered together in order to help more children receive safe and effective dental care. When Dr. Rodef and his partners learned that some patients were driving more than 50 miles to receive treatment at CDFZ, they decided to expand into Fontana and Los Angeles.
Dr. Rodef loves being a partner at CDFZ because of the great patients, staff, and team. He still gets excited to wake up every morning and do what he loves: helping children. He believes in providing great service for patients, creating an extraordinary office experience, and having happy and enthusiastic employees!
Dr. Rodef has four children of his own. Ryan is in dental school and hopes to join the CDFZ team next year. Megan is an attorney at law, Riquel is in his second year of college and is interested in dentistry, and Rita is a dental hygienist. He is very active in his free time, going hiking with his family, playing with his dog, Willow, biking, and swimming four to five times a week.
He is also an avid traveler who enjoys visiting countries around the world and experiencing different cultures and foods. His favorite trip to date was Japan because of the unique culture there. His favorite animated movie is “The Emperor’s New Groove,” and he has watched it many times over.
Edmond Yaghoubi, DDS

Dr. Edmond Yaghoubi has dedicated 13 years of his dentistry career to CDFZ and is a partner at both the West Los Angeles and Riverside offices. He finds fulfillment in investing in a profession that he believes in and that allows him to work with people he respects; Children’s Dental gives him the chance to do both of those things on a daily basis.
At CDFZ, children are always treated with warmth and honesty, and parents are respected and never judged. One of the main reasons Dr. Yaghoubi became a partner at CDFZ is their uncompromising commitment to quality dentistry. The CDFZ motto, “We Treat Your Kids as Our Own,” is emblematic of the environment that the company has created for our patients. As a partner, Dr. Yaghoubi’s goal is to provide quality treatment while decreasing the stress and anxiety associated with dentistry. He loves the opportunity to work with children, especially when he can help them overcome stressful situations and have a positive impact on their health and well-being.
Dr. Yaghoubi received his undergraduate degree from UCLA and his DDS degree from the University of Southern California. He is a member of multiple organizations, including Yad be Yad, Jewish Unity Network, Ohr Khanokh Synagogue, and Torat Hayim. His personal hobbies include basketball, boxing, and collecting baseball cards. His favorite movie is “UP” because of the way it demonstrates that there is always something worth living for. Dr. Yaghoubi agrees that inspiration can come in many ways, especially if you’re willing to follow it!
Matthew Moadel, DDS

Dr. Matthew Moadel is an orthodontist partner at the Montebello location and has spent 5 years at CDFZ. He has more than 12 years of experience in the pediatric dental industry and loves working with kids. Dr. Moadel chose to become a partner at Children’s Dental because he wanted to ensure that all of his patients were happy with their smiles! He also respects and resonates with the principles Dr. Rodef and the CDFZ staff instill in everyone around them. What he loves most about CDFZ is that the company is constantly growing, changing, and developing new ideas.
Dr. Moadel’s approach to pediatric dentistry is to explain everything in detail so parents and children are informed and know what to expect. He patiently coaches them through their anxiety or fears, if they have any, so that every patient has a positive experience and receives the care they need.
Dr. Moadel graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree and received his orthodontics and master’s degree from the University of the Pacific. He is a huge Lakers, Dodgers, and Rams fan. He also loves traveling and hiking in his free time.
Babak Yousefi, DDS

Dr. Babak Yousefi graduated from the University of Southern California with his Doctor of Dental Surgery in Dentistry and from the University at Buffalo with his Master of Science in Orthodontics/Orthodontology. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics and president of the Local Dental Association.
Dr. Yousefi has worked in the dental industry for the past 25 years and takes an educational, kind approach when working with parents and their little ones. He believes that a commitment to oral health begins in childhood with education and prevention. Dr. Yousefi is dedicated to providing gentle and effective care to patients of all dental backgrounds and has made it his mission to teach patients ways they can take greater control of their dental health.
He has a passion for continuing education and actively stays up to date on the latest industry advancements so he can provide his patients with the best care possible. He enjoys collaborating with like-minded professionals he trusts at CDFZ and is grateful for the chance to make a difference for people in his community.
Family is very important to Dr. Yousefi; his wife and kids are his life. He enjoys reading, camping, and skiing when not in the office. His favorite animated movie is “Coco” because the movie’s family values align very well with this own. He also admires the drive the main character displays and wants children to be inspired by the message that they too, can find success if they work hard in pursuit of their dreams.

Talin Janjik, DDS

With more than 22 years in the dental industry, Dr. Janjik has dedicated 18 years to CDFZ where her number one priority is the well-being of her young patients. Since the beginning, she has shared the same values and ethical practices as Dr. Rodef. She loves kids because they keep her active, energized, and entertained with their youthful, spirited dispositions.
With great empathy and a non-judgmental approach, Dr. Janjik puts herself in her patient’s kid-sized shoes and treats them as if they were her own child. What she loves most about CDFZ is the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues and refine aspects of the practice for the benefit of their patients. As a partner at the Eagle Rock location, Dr. Janjik’s goal is to manage a contemporary pediatric practice that responds to patients’ oral health needs with the utmost care, compassion, and empathy.
Dr. Janjik graduated with a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and a doctorate degree from USC. She is associated with Young and Healthy Glendale and Healthy Kids Jefferson Elementary School Foundation. Dr. Janjik enjoys spending time with her three children, her husband, closest friends, and coworkers. Her favorite Disney movie is “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” because she loves to clean and organize. Dr. Janjik also enjoys traveling, yoga, meditative walks, shopping with friends, and watching independent movies. Her personal hobbies also include sailing with her son at the Newport Marina, going to the flower mart, and strolling the beautiful Descanso Gardens.

Arminda Robles, DDS

Dr. Arminda Robles graduated from dental school at the University of San Francisco. She completed her pediatric dental residency at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and also earned her Master of Public Health. She is board certified in pediatric dentistry and is president of the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and a faculty member at the UCLA School of Dentistry.
It was Dr. Robles’ love of working with children and how honest and genuine they are that inspired her to pursue pediatric dentistry. She has worked in the industry for 15 years, the past 12 of which have been at CDFZ. She loves engaging children’s creativity and imagination, and her goal is to make every child’s dental experience as enjoyable and magical as possible!
Dr. Robles works with parents and their littles to identify their needs and their level of comfort. She then uses this information to tailor her exams and provide customized treatment plans. What she loves most about being a partner with CDFZ is the opportunity to have a voice in how children and families are treated. She believes in CDFZ’s motto, “We Treat Your Kids as Our Own.”
Dr. Robles’s hobbies include running and working as a yoga instructor. Her favorite animated movie is “The Princess and the Frog” because of the diversity the movie encourages.
